RSD01BIW-SC Standard-Size Garage Sectional Doors with Extension Springs

Standard size garage sectional doors have the construction and the design of RSD01BIW series doors. Low lift construction allows installation in garages or small technical premises with minimum headroom and side room clearances of 100 mm. In case there is no space between ceiling, walls and opening edges a built-in installation hardware is available. You can choose among13 standard-size sets of RSD01BIW-SC series doors which are always available at DoorHan warehouses. Constructed using counterbalance mechanism designed for 25 000 cycles the RSD01BIW-SC doors offer reliable operation and long lasting service life. Standard-size doors are “install-it-yourself” designed for ease of installation and use.

Opening Dimensions

Mounting

Checking Dimensional Details
  • All the necessary measurements are taken inside the premises with just a measuring tape and a water level. Every dimension should be taken at least in three points:
  • H — opening height (distance from floor to opening top);
  • B — opening width (distance between left and right side of the opening);
  • h — headroom (distance between opening top and ceiling) min 100 mm;
  • b1/ b2 — left/right side room clearance (distance between a corresponding opening edge and obstacle) min 100 mm;
  • L — backroom.
  • When measuring Н and В the largest figure is taken for final dimension.
  • When measuring h, b1, b2 and L the smallest figure is taken for final dimension.

Difference of floor level along the opening should not exceed 10 mm. Make sure that mounting surface of headroom and side rooms is level. The inside perimeter of the door opening should be framed with metal or other solid material in case the surface is not concrete or solid enough to install tracks system.

Overhead mounting. All the tracks are mounted on the headroom and side rooms inside the premise. Overhead mounting. All the tracks are mounted on the headroom and side rooms inside the premise.

Extra information

  • Door leaf should smoothly slide vertically along the tracks, and be properly balanced, i. e. extension springs should compensate leaf weight.
  • For opening the door in manual operation use only the door handle.
  • Do not lift too much force when opening/closing the door. Prevent any sharp movements of the door.
  • Keep people and animals clear of opening while door is operated.
  • Never stay or cross an opening under a moving door leaf as it may cause serious injury or death.
  • Don’t strike the door leaf or obstruct its movement.
  • Keep tracks and rollers clean, as dirt may prevent the door from smooth movement and cause overloading and damage of the door opener (if used).
  • Keep the door opening clear of any objects and litter as it may unbalance and jam the door leaf.

New Products

Modernized top bracket has improved strength characteristics, larger slots, and a stopper which makes position adjustment on a door panel more precise and secure.
New bracket used to fasten C-profile has reinforced ribs and a number of grooves which make it possible to use it with different side seals. C-profile connected with the bracket forms a measuring plank which makes mounting of vertical tracks much easier.
New built-in profile with thermal break prevents door panel from temperature (cold or hot) transfer. Bottom seal perfectly seals the opening.
New rollers have sealed bearings to prevent dust penetration and increase service life.
Special spacers are fixed to the roller shaft without dismantling roller holder to make installation easier.
Improved shape of the bracket provides secure and easy installation of horizontal tracks.
